RESPONSIBLE:
Being a city council member is a responsibility that should be taken more seriously than it has in the past. District 5
has been ignored for too long. There are real needs in the community both in the residential and commercial
sectors. Every citizen of Joliet deserves to live in a safe and secure environment. Security not only comes from the
absence of crime but the presence of economic stability and growth. I am not afraid to fight for what is right. I have
both personally and professionally, through numerous opportunities, demonstrated that I am a responsible and
effective community leader.
RESPECTFUL:
The first key to being a respectful person is listening. There is nothing more disrespectful than ignoring someone by
not responding to their phone calls or emails. I believe that is outright disregard for your concerns. I will respect you
and your concerns by returning your phone calls and emails and being part the solution for our community.
The 2nd key to being respectful is working together with other people. I am not the kind of person to just point
fingers and tell someone what they should be doing to make things better. I am the kind of person that has proven
to be part of the solution, working tirelessly until I achieve results. I am engaged with the citizens of Joliet at the
community level. I will continue to work with you to make life better in District 5 and throughout Joliet.
RESULT PRODUCING:
As the President of the Cathedral Area Preservation Association (Joliet’s oldest and largest neighborhood
organization), I have led the charge for the safety and security for the residents of the neighborhood. Through
collaborative efforts with the Joliet Police Dept. and the City of Joliet, I have been able to address crime and promote
cooperation in the community.
RESPONSIVE TO YOU:
I not only will return your phone calls and emails; but I will be your community advocate. Sometimes you need a
voice along side of yours to be heard. I will be that voice. I want to know your concerns for Joliet. Together we can
protect and promote the integrity of Joliet and its future.
