What we do
What We Do:
Community Committee: Connects with Community Centers, Organizations, and
Clergy within our community to address needs and concerns of residents. This
committee was formed to keep an open line of communication and a direct flow of
services through the entire community in the Collins St Area.
Education Committee: Works directly with Parks Elementary School, Sanchez
Elementary School, and Gompers Junior High School Principals and PTO. This
committee will work directly with the Community Committee to ensure the children in the
community are active and accessing available resources. The approach is that
education is everywhere and used in everything.
Crime Prevention: Works hand in hand with the Community and Education
Committee. With the support of the Joliet Police Department this committee will form a
Neighborhood Watch, Promote Smart Policing, and Calling Police. This committee will
also coordinate 911 Education Classes in English and Spanish.
